Walking

Wonder while you wander.

Running, walking, and hiking are some of the most accessible activities you can do to improve your health and roam throughout The Parklands. Whether you’re into high-intensity training or a sightseeing stroll, prefer packed dirt or stone slabs underfoot, have the energy to take on one or 10 miles — we can show you the way.

Find your common ground.

Sixty miles of hike-bike trails and twenty-two miles of paddling trails extend throughout The Parklands, so no matter if you’re looking for a fully accessible paved path or a more challenging natural-surface hike, we have a trail for all ages and abilities. We’ve identified our trails on our maps and labeled them according to type, length, and difficulty to help you figure out your best route. Plus, you can often jump from one trail to another if you want a longer excursion.
