Pope Lick Park

4002 South Pope Lick Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40299

The Parklands opened Pope Lick Park in 2013. Formerly known as Floyds Fork Park, it lies south of Beckley Creek Park and includes the John Floyd Fields and the Park Administration Building, and it offers access to Floyds Fork and the Louisville Loop. Wander through the warm-season grassland of the Prairie Preserve or hike the Big Beech Woods — an old-growth forest of mossy logs and understory trees and centuries-old canopies that soar above you.

An event held under a tent

Attention all social butterflies.

Host your event with us and feel good about choosing The Parklands, since funds generated from facility rentals support the annual operations of this donor-supported public park. Read up on the permits required for large group use or commercial activity use.

Take the path less traveled.

Sixty miles of hike-bike trails. Twenty-two miles of paddling trails. When it comes to trails in The Parklands, you’ve got options. Discover the trails of Pope Lick Park. (Due to the conservancy status of a portion of this park, excursion trails are for hiking only.)
