Planting the future.

Louisville grows through our parks. Our communities have long found common ground in green spaces that belong to everybody, and The Parklands of Floyds Fork is planting the seeds of the future and a better quality of life for generations to come. With four major parks covering over 4,000 acres, The Parklands is one of the largest visitor-and-donor supported public park systems in the country, and it’s right here in Louisville’s backyard.

PLAN A FIELD TRIP

Adventures await.

Our Outdoor Classroom experiences range all over the Parklands, but in-park field trips start at the PNC Achievement Center in Beckley Creek Park. From there, groups venture out to explore Floyds Fork, the Humana Grand Allee Wetlands, stone paths tessellated with fossils, and more.

PLAYGROUNDS + SPRAYGROUNDS

The ultimate playdate.

We opened the Marshall Playground and Sprayground in Beckley Creek Park in 2011 — our first amenity available to the public. Today, we offer the Cliffside Playground and Sprayground in Broad Run Park, as well as the Pope Lick Park playground near John Floyds Fields. Come out and make a splash.

Enjoy a change of Scenery.

Picnic shelters. Outdoor pavilions. Amish-built tobacco barns. We’ve got plenty of venues where you can just hang out or host an event — whether it’s a gala, a wedding, a birthday party, a family reunion, or a business meeting.

Get on the beaten track.

Our park system is nearly five times as large as New York’s Central Park, so you may need some help finding your way around. Chart your course with our interactive map.
