This annual event, attended by hundreds of community leaders, entrepreneurs, & park enthusiasts, is a celebration and a crucial fundraiser for The Parklands’ education program, the Outdoor Classroom. As Louisville’s premier outdoor science-based education program, the Outdoor Classroom utilizes the park’s natural resources to create immersive learning experiences, connect students with nature, and foster a deep appreciation for the environment and a genuine love for learning. The Outdoor Classroom has delivered over 200,000 educational experiences since its inception in 2013.
This event marked the seventh edition of our annual 5K, dedicated to supporting The Parklands. We were thrilled continue our partnership with WLKY for the third consecutive year. The funds raised during this event play a crucial role in sustaining the annual maintenance and operations of our expansive 4,000-acre public park system, which relies on the support of visitors and donors.
This marked the 13th annual Field & Fork, The Parklands’ premier fundraising event that brings together community leaders and park supporters for an evening of celebration and philanthropy. This annual event takes place in the picturesque Turkey Run Park, where guests will enjoy a three-course dinner, vibrant live auction, musical entertainment, and dancing under the stars, all while supporting the annual maintenance and operations of The Parklands.
