This annual event, attended by hundreds of community leaders, entrepreneurs, & park enthusiasts, is a celebration and a crucial fundraiser for The Parklands’ education program, the Outdoor Classroom. As Louisville’s premier outdoor science-based education program, the Outdoor Classroom utilizes the park’s natural resources to create immersive learning experiences, connect students with nature, & foster a deep appreciation for the environment & a genuine love for learning. The Outdoor Classroom has delivered nearly 170,000 educational experiences since its inception in 2013.
This will mark the sixth edition of our annual 5K, dedicated to supporting The Parklands. We are thrilled to announce our continued partnership with WLKY for the second consecutive year. The funds raised during this event play a crucial role in sustaining the annual maintenance and operations of our expansive 4,000-acre public park system, which relies on the support of visitors and donors.
2024 will mark the 12th annual Field & Fork, the Parklands’ premier fundraising event that brings together community leaders and park supporters for an evening of celebration and philanthropy. This annual event takes place in the picturesque Turkey Run Park, where guests will enjoy a three-course dinner, vibrant live auction, musical entertainment, and dancing under the stars, all while supporting the annual maintenance and operations of The Parklands.
