Portion of The Strand Opens to Visitors
In addition to opening nearly 600 acres of new park land on Friday, April 15, The Parklands of Floyds Fork also opened three miles of Louisville Loop located within The Strand.
Visitors can now access the open portion from the Seaton Valley Trailhead in Turkey Run Park, riding to Louisville Loop mile marker 64.8. Please be sure to use the restroom at the Seaton Valley Trailhead before heading out on The Strand as this connector does not contain any restrooms.
Due to ongoing construction, two miles of the Louisville Loop remains closed to visitors. At this time, there is no access to The Strand from Pope Lick Park or thru passage to Pope Lick Park from Turkey Run Park.

The Parklands hopes to have The Strand completed this summer. While not a park itself, once completed, The Strand will connect all four parks, allowing visitors to walk, run or cycle on the Louisville Loop Trail from Shelbyville Road in Beckley Creek Park to Bardstown Road in Broad Run Park.
