Turn off Brush Road into Turkey Run Parkway and you’ll glide into Seaton Valley, at the hinge between the Strand and Turkey Run Park. Sometimes called Irongate Meadow, Seaton Valley offers trailheads, picnic areas, paddling access, and plenty of sightseeing.
The valley is what remains of the Irongate Country Club, which became a financial failure because it was sited on the floodplain of Floyds Fork. Spread out a picnic in the shade of a trailhead or near the path that leads down to Seaton Valley Trail, which proceeds through the bottomlands along Floyds Fork, skirting the creek until it connects up with the Louisville Loop. Please note that water fountains turn off during the winter.
