Right before the Louisville Loop climbs up the Long Bridge in the Strand, a deep hole at the bottom of Floyds Fork provides the perfect place for catfish to feed and rest. To reach this idyllic fishing spot, put in at the Fisherville Paddling Access and head downstream for a little over three miles, passing farms and centuries-old forests along the way. Look for native gar sunning along the creek in the summer months.
