The month of March is a time of change and awakening at The Parklands. From tree buds bursting to life to ephemeral wildflowers dotting the forest with color, March in The Parklands is a special time that conjures many emotions.

Join creative writer Dianne Aprile on March 8 in Beckley Creek Park as we try to capture the emotions of the season through our writing. In this workshop, participants will take notebooks and observant eyes on a trail walk. Guided by prompts and exercises provided by workshop leader Dianne Aprile, participants will return to the PNC Achievement Center (or a sunny spot outside) to write together, read together, and learn together. Types of potential writing forms include poetry, short stories, haiku, flash non-fiction, or borrowed forms including recipes and letters to friends. Please bring a notebook and pen or pencil.
