Join the Louisville Astronomical Society in Beckley Creek Park to look up at the heavens on October 24 from 7:30pm-10:00pm! This free, family-friendly event will give you a chance to experience the night sky through one of the high-powered lenses of telescopes provided by the Louisville Astronomical Society. Objects of interest include the planet Saturn, the Andromeda galaxy, clusters of stars, nebulas and colorful double stars. Louisville Astronomical Society members will set up a variety of telescopes, including the new digital telescopes that work with tablets and smartphones. Observing will begin at 7:30pm at the PNC Achievement Center. This is a weather dependent event. Rain and cloudiness will cancel the event.
