Parklands Outdoor Skills Camp (Grades 7-9th) Week 1

Pope Lick Park

Parklands Outdoor Adventure Day camps for 7-9th grade students are a step up from our K-6th grade sections. These older adventurers are based in Pope Lick Park at our Parklands Administration Building, away from the hustle and bustle of Beckley Creek and in the middle of one of the wildest sections of The Parklands. Students in this group get to embark on full-day kayak trips on Floyds Fork, bike long stretches of our 19-mile Louisville Loop bike path, fish in our creek and ponds, hike remote trails, and learn basic survival and outdoor skills.

Campers must bring a snack, a bottle of water, and their own sack lunch each day. Parklands Members receive a discounted camp price.

Camp hours are Mon-Fri 9 AM–4 PM. Drop-off is from 8:30 – 9 a.m. and pick-up is from 4 – 4:30 p.m.
