Fall StoryWalk®

Beckley Creek Park

The Parklands of Floyds Fork invites you to a StoryWalk®!

Enjoy reading a children’s book while walking along the Egg Lawn Signature Trail in Beckley Creek Park. Follow the signs placed around the Egg Lawn to read the entire story. Along the way learn about nature and complete suggested activities on the back of the signs! Different StoryWalks® will be put up four times this year and they will only be out for a limited time. Once open, families and individuals can drop in anytime from dawn to dusk to read the story at no charge! Signs will be up by noon the start day of the event and will be taken down the day after the event ends.

Join us November 22-26 to read “Tidy” by Emily Gravett.

About StoryWalk®

StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way for children and adults to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children’s book are attached to temporary signs, which are installed along an outdoor path. As you stroll down the trail, you’re directed to the next page in the story. On the back of the signs, you will find more information and activity prompts. StoryWalks® have been installed in 50 states and 13 countries. The StoryWalk® project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk ® us a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
