Join us for a fun accordion book workshop on Saturday, November 14th, from 10 am to 12 pm at the PNC Achievement Center in Beckley Creek Park. Instructor Ellen Sears will be there to guide you.

A Tiny World Unfolds…

Create a whimsical accordion-fold book filled with watercolor, collage, and handcrafted “fodder.” We’ll paint loose botanical backgrounds, then layer fussy-cut flowers, insects, leaves, and other mixed-media elements to build a miniature meadow that unfolds panel by panel. Bees hover, flowers bloom, ladybugs appear, and every fold offers another little surprise. You’ll learn easy techniques for painting, layering, and composing with mixed-media elements, then assemble them into a one-of-a-kind keepsake that is as delightful to make as it is to display.

No drawing experience is necessary. This class emphasizes creative play over perfection, making each book a unique celebration of nature. All materials are provided. Each participant will receive a take-home art kit to continue practicing what they learn in class.

Registration is required: $20 for The Parklands members and $25 for non-members. Click on the link below to register today!
