Celebrating Mother’s Day

While we might not be able to gather for our usual traditions, we can still celebrate special days and moments in a new way. Here are a few ideas to honor the moms in your life this Mother’s Day.

Creative Crafts

Moms love receiving items made from the heart. Check out these videos from our Interpretive Rangers to create a crafty keepsake. These crafts can be created using items commonly found at home and by people of all ages, including kids with a little adult supervision.

More Ideas

Brunch in Bed (or at the park!) – Treat mom to a homemade Mother’s Day brunch. Practicing social distancing to protect your loved one? Have brunch delivered from one of Louisville’s amazing local restaurants. Deliver in person to enjoy together from a safe distance. If the weather is favorable, consider a socially distanced picnic in The Parklands or your neighborhood park, followed by a hike or bike ride.

Lean on Technology – Thanks to modern technology, time together is still possible using tools like FaceTime, Zoom live and Facebook Messenger/Portal.
