Winter is a quiet time of the year at The Parklands. However, that does not mean there is not beauty to take in and wonders to discover! There are still trails to be walked, wildlife to be seen, and fun to be had! Did you know box turtles hibernate? Or that beavers stay active all winter long? Or that trees drop their leaves to conserve energy?

If you would like to explore these topics in more depth or to explore the park in a different season, join us for our Winter Break adventure day camps that will bring out the nature explorer in each of you. Camps will run December 27-29, 2023 and January 2-5, 2024.
