Fly Fishing 101

Join the representatives from the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources and Derby City Fly Fishers to learn the basics of fly-fishing including rod and reel setups, casting, fly types, basic gear, and knot tying. Attendees will have the opportunity to join a mentored fly-fishing trip. This class is free to attend, but you must have a valid Kentucky fishing license. All equipment is provided. This class is offered in partnership with Derby City Fly Fishers and The Parklands of Floyds Fork.
