John Floyd Fields

ATTENTION VISITORS: During construction, please use the Hatmaker’s entrance off Taylorsville Rd. (just after the gas station, on the right, coming from I-265). The S. Pope Lick Rd entrance has been closed temporarily for construction. There will be detour signs on site to help direct you to the John Floyd Fields.

On January 1, 2011, The Parklands of Floyds Fork assumed responsibility of John Floyd Fields through an innovative agreement with Metro Louisville.  The Parklands of Floyds Fork, a dream realized by the nonprofit 21st Century Parks, will provide all maintenance, operations and programming for John Floyd Fields, and will integrate the park and its resources into The Parklands overall recreational, educational and conservation planning.

Children’s Playgrounds

A small children’s playground is open at John Floyd Fields to the public during park hours.

Soccer Fields

The north soccer field is available to the public on a first come, first serve basis.  The other soccer fields are managed by J-Town Youth Soccer Association.  Click here to learn more about getting involved.

Community Center

The John Floyd Fields Community Center is available to rent by community groups. Please contact the J-Town Soccer Association for more information or by visiting their site by clicking here.

Canoeing and Paddling
